"The Center of the Universe"
An original musical play about the settling of Panaca written by C. Pete Petersen. This play will be performed during the Panaca Sesquicentennial celebration on July 22, 23, 24, 25, 26 and 28. All performances begin at 7:00 pm Pacific Time. The play will last approximately 2 hours and 15 minutes. The play is being performed at the Neldon C. Matthews Center in Panaca. Ticket prices are $10 per seat for the center seats and $8 per seat for the side sections.
This theater is handicapped accessible. There is room for several wheelchairs. There are three wheelchair accessible slots on Row A in the center section and on either side of the seating on Row L of the center section.
Seating is limited and may be purchased in advance or at the box office. Tickets for the play may be purchased by contacting Cindy Maughan at 775-728-4651. Payment may be made only by cash or check. Checks should be made out to Lincoln County - Panaca 150. Mail to Cindy Maughan, P.O. Box 441, Panaca, NV 89042. Pre-sold tickets will not be mailed, but will be available for pick up during the celebration at the Center box office. Seats are assigned according to the seat number on your ticket. If you want a group to sit together you should purchase the tickets at the same time and ask for tickets to be in the same area. Since seating is limited, people living in the local area are encouraged to attend the play on Tuesday through Thursday or on Monday. This allows those from out of town to attend the play on Friday and Saturday.
