Note: Those items with a designated time will be heard at that time, or as soon thereafter as the Board can accommodate. All other items do not have a specific time and will be heard at the discretion of the Board. If you wish to speak on any item that is on the agenda, you must sign in with the Clerk at the meeting.
1* Call to order; Roll call; Invocation; Pledge of Allegiance.
2 Public Comment. (All public comment will be limited to five minutes per individual).
3* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny minutes of the November 21, 2011 Regular Meeting.
4* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny Original and Renewal Business Licenses with staff recommendations (an itemized list of business licenses is available for public review in the Building Department prior to the meeting).
5* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny vouchers (an itemized list of bills is available for public review at the county Auditor’s office prior to the meeting). A report of Cash Balances with any concerns will be received from the County Auditor.
6* For Possible Action: Proclamation declaring January 2012 as National Radon Action Month.
7* For Possible Action: Introduction of an Ordinance titled Authorization for the Building and Planning Department to Issue Misdemeanor Citations, and setting of a date for public hearing.
8* For Possible Action: Approval of a Contract for lighting upgrades where needed in the Lincoln County Courthouse per the Energy Efficiency and Conservation Block Grant.
9 Officer/Department Head Reports: Update will include, meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, projects status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
10 Board of Highway Commissioners: Under Separate Agenda.
11 Lincoln County Fire District: Under Separate Agenda.
12* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action possible purchase of a 5th wheel trailer for the food drop that is provided by the Retired Senior Volunteer Program.
13* For Possible Action: Discussion of the Road Maintenance Agreement between Lincoln County and the Bureau of Land Management.
14* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action cost to the Sheriff’s Office for Lincoln County Ambulance service.
15* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action Certification of last years (2010-2011) assessment of Lake Valley Groundwater
16 Update from the Library Board on the Caliente Library.
17* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action Letter of waiver addressed to the Nevada Dental Board for Jeremy Ludlow, DDS, for limited license.
18 Quarterly Jail Tour
19* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action on Memorandum of Agreement between Board of Lincoln County Commissioners and Lincoln County Regional Development Authority regarding preparation of a Strategic Plan for Capitalizing upon the prospective beneficial economic impacts associated with development and operation of the Yucca Mountain repository system and other activities on the Nevada Test Site and Nevada Test and Training Range.
20* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action on appointment of person to serve on the Lincoln County Regional Development Authority Board of Directors.
21* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action comments on Draft Site-Wide Environmental Impact Statement for Department of Energy/National Nuclear Security Administration, Nevada National Security Site and Off-Site Locations in the State of Nevada.
22 Nuclear Oversight Program Update: May include but not limited to, meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, projects status, future needs arising since last meeting and other relevant information for the Commission.
23* For Possible Action: Discussion about possible Changes to the Lincoln County Personnel Policy.
24 Commissioners Reports: Update will include, meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, projects status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
