All other items do not have a specific time and will be heard at the discretion of the Board. If you wish to speak on any item that is on the agenda, you must sign in with the Clerk at the meeting.
1* Call to order; Roll call; Invocation; Pledge of Allegiance.
2 Public Comment. (All public comment will be limited to five minutes per individual).
3* For Possible Action: Approve minutes of the April 25, May 10 and May 14, 2012 Budget Meetings and May 7 and May 21, 2012 Regular Meetings.
4* For Possible Action: Signing of the Notification of Grant Award for Lincoln County Senior Services Congregate meals in the amount of $25,118.00.
5* For Possible Action: Signing of the Notification of Grant Award for Lincoln County Senior Services Home Delivered meals in the amount of $67,010.00.
6* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny Original and Renewed Business Licenses according to staff recommendations (an itemized list of business licenses is available for public review in the Building Department prior to the meeting).
7* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny vouchers (an itemized list of bills is available for public review at the county Auditor’s office prior to the meeting). A report of Cash Balances with any concerns will be received from the County Auditor.
8 Officer/Department Head Reports: Update will include meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, project status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
9 Board of Highway Commissioners: Under Separate Agenda.
10* For Possible Action: A Resolution to Augment the Senior Nutrition Fund $48,000 (Transfer from Federal In Lieu Tax Special Revenue Fund).
11 Lincoln County Fire District: Under Separate Agenda.
12 Presentation from Ted Hartwell from the Desert Research Institute on the monitoring sites in Lincoln County.
13* For Possible Action: Discussion with the Nevada Department of Transportation on the proposed 2013 Annual Work Program, and the Transportation System Projects document.
14* For Possible Action: Approval and signing of the 2012/2013 Cooperative Agreement with the Seventh Judicial District Court.
15* For Possible Action: Appointment of member to the Pioche Town Board.
16* For Possible Action: Request from Kurt Johnson to “Turn the Town Teal” this is a cancer awareness campaign that will occur in September.
17 Quarterly Jail Tour
18* For Possible Action: Discussion of Pioche Town Board decision making abilities.
19 For Possible Action: Longevity Pay Increase of 5% for Rita Cheeney, effective date of May 1, 2012.
20* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny and possible designation of fund to pay bill from Dan McArthur in the amount of $18,089.50 to be shared equally by Lincoln County Water District, Vidler and Lincoln County each in the amount of $6,029.83, for a tax analysis for the Lincoln Highland development annexation.
21* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action regarding signing revised application for the Alamo Landing Field airport Improvement Program.
22* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action regarding signing Change Order #3 for Trade West Construction on the Pioche Park Phase II project.
23* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action regarding signing Change Order #2 for Jim Wilkin Trucking on the Lincoln county fair and Rodeo Grounds project.
24* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action regarding review and possible approval of the proposed Alamo Landing Field Scope of work for Armstrong Consultants.
25* For Possible Action: Discussion Appointment of a board member to the Museum Board.
26 Oversight program update by Vaughn Higbee, and Connie Simkins.
27* For Possible Action: Approval of contract with Vanquard for pest control services to County facilities.
28* For Possible Action: Designation of fund to address plumbing repairs at the Rachel DC Day Park, cost is $1,700.00.
29* For Possible Action: Final approval of the Hiko, Rachel, Beaver Dam, Eagle Valley, Dry Valley, and Mount Wilson transfer station Rights of Way.
30* For Possible Action: Designation of funds and protocol for County facilities currently receiving pest control.
31* For Possible Action: Approval of Change Order to extend contract with Basing Engineering Corporation for one year to begin on July 1, 2012 and to expire on June 30, 2013 for County Surveyor, Civil Engineering and Plotting of Mining Claims on County Base Maps due to contract expiration date being June 30, 2012. Cost of services remains the same as 2012.
32* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny “Change of Course” for the Groundshaker Motorcycle Club Independence Hare Scramble motorcycle race scheduled for June 30, 2010 in the Caliente area.
33* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny the Panaca Elementary Scenic Half Marathon from Spring Valley to Echo Canyon State Park, scheduled for June 30, 2012.
34 Commissioners Reports: Update will include, meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, project status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
