Note: Those items with a designated time will be heard at that time, or as soon thereafter as the Board can accommodate. All other items do not have a specific time and will be heard at the discretion of the Board. If you wish to speak on any item that is on the agenda, you must sign in with the Clerk at the meeting.
1* Call to order; Roll call; Invocation; Pledge of Allegiance.
2 Public Comment. (All public comment will be limited to five minutes per individual).
3* For Possible Action: Approve minutes of the April 1, 2013 Regular Meeting and the April 2, 2013 Budget Meeting.
4* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny Original and Renewed Business Licenses according to staff recommendations (an itemized list of business licenses is available for public review in the Building Department prior to the meeting).
5* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny vouchers (an itemized list of bills is available for public review at the county Auditor’s office prior to the meeting). A report of Cash Balances with any concerns will be received from the County Auditor.
6 Officer/Department Head Reports: Update will include meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, project status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
7 Board of Highway Commissioners: Under Separate Agenda.
8 Lincoln County Fire District: Under Separate Agenda.
9* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action approval to pay bill for food in the amount of $17.98 for the Table Top Exercise with the LEPCI as they were going over the Mitigation Plan.
10* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action and designation of a fund to pay for gurneys and systems that go into the Ambulances for the gurneys, in the amount of $125,000. Reimbursement will come through a grant.
11 Panaca Fire District: Under Separate Agenda.
12 Presentation by President Marc Johnson and Provost Kevin Carman of the University of Nevada Reno (UNR) on the proposal that the University of Nevada, Reno College of Agriculture and the University of Nevada Cooperative Extension change.
13 Update from Gina Smith on UNR Cooperative Extension Engaged Leadership Conference.
14* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action with Gary Elmer and Pete Peterson requesting funds for the Panaca Town Sesquicentennial.
15* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action approval to pay for food not to exceed $40 for the Tri-County Annual Meeting.
16* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action: Per NRS 361.5648, an Affidavit of Mailing for Delinquent Taxes, showing how many Delinquent Notices were mailed out.
17* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action a Comment letter to the Nevada Division of Environmental Protection regarding a proposed permit modification from Western Elite, Inc. Western Elite, Inc. is requesting a modification to their existing permit to include Class I solid waste materials on the eastern portion of their existing landfill footprint.
18* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action request from the Building & Planning Department to replace the Planning Coordinator position with a possible lateral transfer and reassignment of duties within the County.
19* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny a Notice of Intention to act on a Resulution to Augment the Vehicle Capital Projects Fund budget in the amount of $877, the beginning fund balance is larger than anticipated.
20* For Possible Action: Discussion/Action regarding transferring up to $40,000 match for the Alamo Airport that was discussed during last year’s budget meetings.
21* For Possible Action: Approve/Deny the Freedom Fourwheelers Mud Race scheduled for May 18, 2013 to be held at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds.
22 Commissioners Reports: Update will include, meetings attended, actions taken, contacts made, project status, and future needs arising since last meeting.
