#1-CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
Chairman Tommy Rowe called the meeting to order at 11:43.

There is a quorum and the agenda was posted on 3-1-11 to comply with the open meeting law.
#2-FY 2011-2012 BUDGET
Rick Stever presented the budget. $295,000 is removed from capital outlay as it was designated for an overall capital improvements plan. Rick continues to work on establishing programs throughout the county; expenses will be increasing, but Rick isn’t sure how much. This is why everything is being left in capital projects. Rick has been working with Eagle Valley to get the property/building situation resolved. Rick will have to do work on the building in EV and power costs about $100 for 7 months of the year, and $40 a month for the remaining months. Rick hopes to have county people trained in the future so that he doesn’t have to reimburse the fire districts in the future. Current year expenses are shown at $300,000, but Dan will adjust the amount so that it isn’t reflecting a negative number. Dan will budget all available monies for expenditures. Rick has proposed a position within the fire district; paperwork has been submitted for discussion. The Emergency Management is funded through FEMA and DOE. With the continuing resolution these positions are paid after things already occur. Rick commented that one half of the EM position is DOE money for low level waste coming through the county. DOE doesn’t feel it’s right to cover a position with this funding as it will eventually go away. LCFD is more stable and Rick is suggesting moving EM as a combined position into the fire district.
