#4-VOUCHERS

Paul M. made a motion to approve the vouchers as presented with the exception of LC Telephone; seconded by Kevin. All voted in favor. Paul M. made a motion to approve the LC Telephone bill; seconded by Kevin. Paul D. abstains. Motion carries.

#5-MUTUAL AID AGREEMENT

Rick advised that an hourly rate for reimbursement will be included in discussions for changes to the mutual aid agreement. Paul D. feels that it is critical for Rick to approve all vouchers prior to being paid. Due to the available funding, it will be natural for some entities to go after it. Caution needs to be exercised with the money. Rick responded that this hasn’t been a problem in the past. No action is taken.

#6-LAKE VALLEY TRAINING

Rick has received favorable input from personnel in the Lake Valley area. There are 8-12 people who are willing to take the first responder training. Rick is in the process of organizing the training through the state. Class will tentatively start the third week in July and will be held in the Lake Valley area. Rick would like to see the people receive wild land fire training as well.

#7-NATIONAL FIRE PROTECTION ASSOCIATION

Rick received an application from the National Fire Protection Association. Advantages are that publications will be available as well as discounted prices for books. Membership is $150 per year, or $270 for two years. No action is taken on this item and it will be addressed at the next meeting.

#8-PUBLIC COMMENT

Tommy called for public comment. None offered.

#9-ADJOURN
