#1-CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL

Chairman Ed Higbee called the meeting to order at 10:04 a.m.

There is a quorum and the agenda was posted on 5-14-13 to comply with the open meeting law.

#2-PUBLIC COMMENT

Ed called for public comment. None offered.

#3-MINUTES

Paul M. made a motion to approve the minutes; seconded by Adam. All voted in favor.

#4-FIRE CHIEF UPDATE

Rick Stever reported that the pumper structure engine has been picked up. The intent is to locate it at Eagle Valley. The land has been deeded over and is being reviewed by the county surveyor; nothing has been recorded yet. Rick is taking preliminary measurements for a building and hopes to get estimates for the erection of the building as well as the building itself. The pumper will be stored in Caliente for the time being. Rick has been out to look at the building at Mt. Wilson again; he will be doing some work on it. Wilson Creek Fire donated a piece of equipment that will be located at Mt. Wilson once the work is completed.

#5-VOUCHERS

Paul M. made a motion to approve the vouchers; seconded by Adam. Kevin disclosed he is part owner of Mountain Merc and abstained from the vote. Motion carried.

#6-FY 2013-2014 BUDGET

No comment offered from the public. Paul M. made a motion to approve the FY 2013-2014 budget; seconded by Kevin. All voted in favor.

#7-FOODSTUFFS

Paul M. made a motion to approve the purchase of snacks for the Caliente Youth Center crew that did the cleanup at the Eagle Valley fire station in the amount of $23.38; seconded by Kevin. All voted in favor.

#8-BIDS FOR EAGLE VALLEY BUILDING

Rick stated he is proceeding along the lines of getting a building erected in Eagle Valley to store the equipment. Kevin made a motion to approve finding a contractor and getting bids for the erection of a building at Eagle Valley; seconded by Kevin. All voted in favor.

#9-PUBLIC COMMENT

Ed called for public comment. None offered.

#10-ADJOURN

There being no further business for the Board to attend, Ed adjourned the meeting at 10:11 a.m.
