IN AND FOR THE COUNTY OF LINCOLN, STATE OF NEVADA

#1-CALL TO ORDER/ROLL CALL
The Board met in regular session with Chairman Paul Mathews calling the meeting to order at 10:13. Clerk Lisa Lloyd called the roll with Trustees Tommy Rowe, Paul Mathews, Ed Higbee and Bill Lloyd being present. Trustee Ronda Hornbeck is absent. There is a quorum and the agenda was posted on 2-9-10 to comply with the open meeting law. Harry Birkmier is present as is Kerry Lee.
Tommy made a motion to approve the January 19, 2010 minutes; seconded by Ed. All voted in favor.
Harry reported they have a page on the County website. Entry Level Firefighter class was started Saturday. The second truck is ready to be picked up. A check will need to be issued in the amount of $50,000. PFD is getting head sets and chargers from the Sparks Fire Department. Firefighter I re-test was completed.
#5-RESOLUTION FOR EXEMPTION FROM AUDIT
Harry reviewed the resolution for exemption from:
1. Filing a tentative budget for the 2010-2011 fiscal year,
2. Filing an independent audit report for the 2009-2010 fiscal year,
3. Publishing requirement of the Local Government Budget and Finance Act, other than the annual publication of a notice of budget adoption and filing.
4. Maintaining accounting records on accrual or modified accrual basis.
The resolution was published. Tommy made a motion to approve; seconded by Ed. All voted in favor.
Paul called for public comment. There is none.
There being no further business for the Board to attend to, Ed made a motion to adjourn at 10:24 a.m.; seconded by Bill. All voted in favor.
